I Love a Man in Uniform

Stars Tom MacCampus, Brigitte Bako, Kevin Tighe, and David Hemblen.

This Canadian production by Director David Wellington is a first rate thriller about an actor who poses as a real life cop. Tom MacCampus plays Henry Alder, a bank employee and would be actor who lands a role as a policeman on a TV series. Brigitte Bako plays Charlie, his co-star on the series. Basically, Alder goes bonkers as he dons his uniform to roam the streets and take the law into his own hands. Brigitte's character is initially attracted to Alder, but later rejects him when it becomes clear that he is going off the deep end. Overall, this is an excellent film with fine acting and production values that set a high standard. The mood of the film is dark, but that is appropriate to the theme. MacCampus is clearly the star of the show, with great support from the rest of the cast.

This is a must see for Brigitte Bako fans. She looks particulalry great in her scenes. I Love a Man in Uniform achieved critical acclaim and won several awards north of the border. It has been released in both VHS and DVD formats and has a "R" rating. This is a movie that I have watched several times, and enjoyed it each time I watched it.
